Description

The main goal of this one-week conference at the Fields Institute in London Ontario is to induce and stimulate interactions and collaborations at the cutting edge of research on noncommutative geometry and combinatorial C*-algebras. Its aim is also to celebrate the 90th birthday of Paul F. Baum whose remarkable contributions to mathematics, in particular noncommutative geometry, can hardly be overestimated. Better still, the meeting serves as the summarizing event of the European Union funded research network Operator Algebras That One Can See.

Postdoctoral researchers and PhD students who would like to request a registration fee waiver are warmly encouraged to contact the organizers. The collected fees will be used primarily to support essential aspects of the event, including catering, administrative expenses, and other miscellaneous costs that are not covered by our sponsoring institutions.

How to get to London from Pearson airport:

Here are some options to travel from Pearson airport in Toronto (the only international airport in Toronto) to London Ontario:

"Robert Q" shuttle buses: (price: $90.29)

This is the most convenient and frequent option. The regular trip to London is about 2 hours and their 24/7 station is located on the lower floor of Pearson airport.
Note that you can arrange your drop off location to be your Hotel in London while booking your shuttle; They may charge you extra for this option.

Intercity bus: (starts at $28)

This is the less expensive option, though their buses may have less frequent schedules and may take longer to take you to London (must be carefully chosen while booking the ticket).
Your drop-off location in London could be chosen “Western University (190 Western Road, front of Subway)” or “Western University (Elgin Hall)”. Both drop off points are close to campus and are easy to take a cab from.

OnexBus: (starts at $25)

This is another inexpensive option, like the previous one, you may have in frequent departer time, and it may have longer trip time (Please be carefully chosen while booking the ticket).

Your drop-off location in London is best to be “Western University (Elgin Hall)”.

Connection flight:

While booking your flight, you can book a flight with the destination as London International Airport YXU. You will then have a domestic connection flight from Pearson Airport to London Airport. However, for such a short flight (about 45 minutes) to London, you may need to stay at the airport more than 4 hours.
